Old barn & US flag, July 4th, Rocky Hill CT
It was the 4th of July weekend and Cheryl and I were travelling down a side road in Rocky Hill, CT when we saw this beautiful old barn. The site of Old Glory hanging from it’s side made it special. I’ve since been by this barn and the flag has been removed. Apparantly put up to commemorate the 4th only.

Withering Barns, east side of Wallingford, CT

This is an old abandoned mill on Railroad Ave., in Woonsocket, RI. It’s situated a stones throw north of the Manville Dam (see attached photo). Rhode Island was, back in the day, known for their mills, mostly textile in nature. Like many mills of the day the town was built up around them. This mill sat adjacent to a rail line…
