Cheryl needed some fresh peaches to make peach cobbler so we thought we’d try an orchard that we’d never visited before. Rogers did not disappoint. First of all, what an orchard! I think they grow every type of apple that will grow in CT. The orchard seems to go as far as the eye can see. Like most orchards you can either pick your own or go into their country store. The store has (to name a few) apples, peaches, vegetables, local honey, cider, and one of their specialties is freshly made fruit pies. It’s clean, neat and well staffed. As soon as we got home Cheryl made the peach cobbler and not only was it delicious but those peaches were perfect. The right texture and the right flavor! It’s also a very peaceful, tranquil type of place that relaxes you as you stroll around the ground. If you’ve never been here it’s worth a visit.
