While Cheryl and I were driving through rural Bethlehem CT we happened upon this beautiful metallic welded American Bald Eagle in an open field on the side of the road.  Immediately I pulled the car over and, fortunately, had my camera gear with me. The Eagle is probably about 6′ tall from claws to the top of the wings.  It was absolutely beautiful with an exacting likeness to the bird itself.

This masterpiece was created by local resident Ray White, a Viet Nam Veteran.  It’s his patriotic show of affection toward our country and military.   In 2016 Ray went on to make the 2nd largest welded Eagle in the country with a wingspan  of 36′.  To the best of my knowledge this Eagle has been transported down South and is not available locally.

Hi, I purchased from Ray, an eagle that won 1st prize at the Thomaston opera house in 2013 It was a conservationist art show I believe. The eagle has a wing that was damaged from rust and wind. I would like to know if Ray repairs the eagles or any suggestions

    • Sorry Dave. I was just a photographer passing by so I snapped a photo. I don’t know Ray White. Perhaps you can google him. Thanks for stopping by.
