Cheryl and I took a hike around Millers Pond in Durham CT. What a quiet little spot in the middle of the woods. One end has a very small sandy area that I guess they call a beach. Then around the park there are two or three “boulders”, for lack of a better word, that are located on the water’s edge lending themselves to sunbathing and fishing. All in all, however, there was almost no one there on the Sunday afternoon that we went.

The attached photo’s show the pond itself and various points along the path we took for our hike. We caught the coolest day all summer and that, with the shade of the tree’s, made for a real enjoyable outing.

Images were photographed with a Sony Nex 7, 24.3 MP, mirrorless camera. Lenses varied from a Sony Zeiss 24mm 1.8 to a Sony 50 mm 1.8.
All photographed in Aperture Priority, ISO 800 – 1600.
