Boothbay ME
Cheryl and I were looking for a little downtime and found it in the quiet, quaint, seafaring village of Boothbay ME. Population approx. 3000 people many of which don’t live there year round. It is a summer tourist attraction although we arrived in mid September and most of that bustling activity was behind us. We stayed at the Tugboat Inn. Our part of the hotel was built on a peer that went out into the harbor consisting of about 16 rooms (best of my recollection). Pelican Cove, ME
During our early September stay in Maine Cheryl and I visited the quaint coastal town of Ogunquit, (pop. approx. 1600), which is home to Perkins Cove. This was just a quick drive from York Maine where our hotel was. We walked around Perkins Cove specifically as this cove was surrounded by water on three sides and was a small, quaint little paradise. It was full of unique boutiques, locally made merchandise and a couple of nice restaurants. Not to mention all the boating.
