Barn – Morris CT
This barn appears to be the remnants of what was once a dairy farm in Morris CT. The reason I say that is because the rusted sign on the barn say’s “We Use DeLaval Milkers”. This is an IL company who manufacturers diary and farming equipment such as milking machines. This barn, being as small as it is, makes me believe that the main cow barn has been torn down over the years. This was a beautiful location for a farm and there is a beautiful mountain to the rear. My 65th Birthday Present!
My beautiful wife Cheryl commemorated by 65th birthday with this beautiful CASE brand knife that she had inscribed. I’m now officially a senior citizen. I’ve been a collector of folding pocket knives for many years and this addition just made my day! I’m especially fond of CASE knives as they are made in the USA, good quality and are affordably priced. Beautiful entrance in Milford
I was on my way back from Milford Photo and I was going through the downtown area I saw this beautiful home. The stonework, the wooden shingles, the vintage style front door which was made all the better by the presence of “Old Glory” swinging in the breeze in the form of the Betsy Ross 13 star rendition. To me this was America, this was New England. I had to pull over and take a photo. I didn’t have any of my gear with me but I did have a pocket camera in the car for just such “emergencies”. “Peace on Earth” – North Haven Barn
This charming old barn is situated on the east side of North Haven adjacent to a residence. It looks like it’s still in use and in nice shape. I chose this for the December image of my 2017 wall calendar not only because it’s beautiful and unique but because of the signage.
