Product Shot – Bottle of Wine
An image of a Colorfast, vintage 2021, bottle of wine and glass. The image was photographed in a studio setting using (3) lights, some with red/blue colored output. This background was created from 8.5 x 11.00″ white paper sheets which were folded into the shapes you see and attached together. They were lit from one side with a red/blue LED diffused light. The paper was enlarged “stretched” in photoshop so they would fill the background. The wine bottle was shot twice. Once lit from behind with a red gel’d light and once from in front with a 5600k clear light. This rendered the label exactly as it would appear on…

Gold Wedding Rings
Photographed with a Nikon D7100, 24.3 APS-C camera, and a Nikon 40mm MACRO lens. 1/50th, f8, ISO 100, MANUAL MODE. (4) lights were used. (2) Floor lights 5600K, (2) small 5600K table LED’s to bring out specular highlights in the jewels. 12 shot focus stack, helicon focus software.

Painting with light – (well not really)
[wzslider height=”800″ info=”true” lightbox=”true”] I belong to an online photography site that has weekly “challenges”. This challenge was: “Make RED your focal point in the photograph”. As a result I came up with painting the light bulb. Here is how it was done: 1). Black 1/4″ sheet of plexiglass bottom and backdrop. 2). Modeling clay was used at the base of the bulb to secure it in the upright position. 3). L.E.D. continuous light panels were used with a diffuser attached. 4).
