The Windmill at Aqua Turf, Southington CT
The Aqua Turf Club 556 Mulberry St. Plantsville, CT 06479 (860) 621-9335 Cheryl and I made a stop at the Aqua Turf on a day when they weren’t holding any weddings or events so the grounds were empty. We were in and out in 15 minutes. My main purpose in stopping by was to photograph their beautiful windmill. Back in the 90’s I had a professional photography business and photographed a lot of weddings throughout CT. South Farms – The White Barn 211 Higbie Rd., Morris CT First let me start by saying is this not a beautiful barn and setting? Wow! The upkeep over the years has kept this barn in pristine condition. Sam and Ruth Paletsky owned a cattle farm her from the 40’s thru the 70’s. I’ve seen a lot of farms in my travels and I even worked on one in high school and I’ve got to tell you if I was going to start a family and work the farm this would be the place I’d want to do it. Barn at Mount Pleasant Farm, Torrington CT
I was barn hunting in Torrington and, on a whim, took a ride down University Dr., in hopes of finding some barns. Unless I researched ahead of time I always pick the roads that are out in the outskirts of town and in the country as much as possible. This road led me to this beautiful barn. I also found another beautiful barn with a gorgeous silo. I will post that separately. After I got home I realized that this barn was part of a bed and breakfast Inn.
