What struck me odd about this abandoned bakery was not so much that it was abandoned but rather where it was located.  The picture gives the impression that it’s in the middle of the woods but it sits in a rural residential neighborhood of Southington CT. There are beautiful homes up and down this street and no commerical or retail entities.  So you wouldn’t expect this.  I suspect it was built before the neighborhood really took off.  Who know’s?  It just looked kind of odd to me but I’m sure the neighbors were happy to have good baked bread so close to home.  When it went out of business I…
