Rogers did not disappoint. First of all, what an orchard! I think they grow every type of apple that will grow in CT. The orchard seems to go as far as the eye can see. Lavender Pond Farm, Killingworth CT
318 Roast Meat Hill Rd, Killingworth, CT 06419 Cheryl and I stopped at this beautiful Lavender Farm recently in the countryside of Killingworth CT. They grow lavender to infuse in many of their products that they sell in their country store which is on the property. The serenity of the farm made it all worth while. It was so peaceful, and the staff was polite and accommodating. The kids and family can even go aboard the “Lavender Express” and have a nice slow train ride around the property. The Bomba Bros. Farm 79 Great Hill Rd, Seymour, CT 06483 This article will take you on a short snippet of a family’s century long journey. What you will read encapsulates why I’ve spent years traveling around Southern CT photographing barns and farms. To me it represents a simpler time, a less cluttered time. A time when the work at hand was tackled by strong, disciplined families, with a work ethic that can only be emulated.
