    Barn in North Branford CT

Let me start off by saying that I changed this image considerably in photoshop by adding many details that weren’t originally there for artistic effect. The main barn is the same but that’s about it. Photographed in North Branford CT. Photographed with a Nikon D7100 and a Nikon 18-55 @ 18mm (35mm equiv.= 27 mm) 1/250th, f11, ISO 800, Aperture Priority

  • Barns,  Journey's

    Preparing the field before winter.

Farm in Johnston RI. The family has been farming this land since 1890. Although the buildings, field and people were captured by me during my visit I did alter the exact location of the buildings on the property for artistic value. Unfortunately I was not able to photograph their largest barn as the view was blocked from the road. Photographed with a Nikon D7100, Nikon 18-55 mm lens @ 38mm. 1/500th, f11, ISO 400

  • Wildlife

    Hawk in my yard.

I looked out my window and saw this massive bird walking around on the ground.  It was so large I actually thought it was a turkey (from a distance).  It then flew up into this tree. What you’re looking at is his backside.  When he spotted me in my window he turned his head around a complete 180 degrees. What cannot be appreciated in this image is just how large this bird is.  It had to be the largest hawk I’ve ever seen. I quickly grabbed my Nikon D7100 and put an 80-400 mm Nikon lens on it and quickly took the picture from my window.
