For this shot I used a cluster of multi-colored plastic drinking straws.
The shot was lit with studio lights using red and blue gels which overpowered the straws natural colors rendering the image you see.
This is an ultra close up of the ends of the straws.
I photographed this with a Sony A7RV, 61mp mirrorless camera and a Sony 90mm macro lens. Using Sony’s clear image zoom I was able to triple my focal length to 270mm rendering this magnified result.
