I love everything about this stoic looking barn sitting high on a Harwinton CT hillside. It has quite a presence and the addition of a cross made crudely out of two pieces of unfinished lumber tells it all. Hidden behind the fall foliage a beauty still stands…….
Another gorgeous barn quietly hidden beyond the fall foliage of New England on Burnt Hill Rd. in Hebron CT. This barn actually sits behind a farm house (to the left out of view). However, it was completely blocked by the yard and trees. I was forced to drive down the street a bit and shoot accross a swampy wetlands area…

Nicely postured barn.
This barn is only about 20′ or so from Maple Ave. which is a fairly busy street. I think whoever built it had a wonderful design. It looks large and grand, with it’s tall walls, while at the same time is not overpowering for being a “neighborhood” barn. This is now the 2nd time I’ve seen a flat stone foundation…
