    Product shot – Chic Watch

    This “Chic” watch came from my wife’s Grandmother who passed many years ago so we’re not sure when she purchased the watch.  However, based on her ownership of it and the fact that she lived 93 years the watch was manufactured anywhere from 50-100 years ago.  I cannot find anything on the internet with respect to Chic watch manufacturing in Singapore. Photographed with a Sony A7RV 61mp mirrorless camera and a Sony 90mm F2.8 G OSS MACRO lens. One lens mounted ring light only was used.  White reflective cards were strategically placed around the face of the watch to even out the light distribution. .3 seconds, f20, ISO 100, MANUAL…

    Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp. – 28 year retirement watch

    I’ve been photographing jewelry recently because all the reflections make it quite difficult so I wanted the challenge. As I was searching for some jewelry to photograph I came upon Dad’s retirement watch from the Wallingford Steel Mill, later to become Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation. It’s about 30 years old because, I believe, he retired in 1993/1994 at the age of 60. It wasn’t long after he retired that he gave me the watch because he knew it would mean a lot to me.     Gold diamond watch:  Photographed with a Sony A7RII, 42 mp, full frame mirrorless camera and a Sony 90 mm f2.8 MACRO lens. 4 seconds, f11, ISO 100, MANUAL MODE. (1) 5600k flash bounced off the ceiling. 16 shot focus stack, helicon focus software.
