Cooke Farm, Muddy Roots Farm, Wallingford CT

I lived in Wallingford during the 50’s, 60’s and 80’s so it has a soft spot in my heart. I remember this as the old Cooke’s Farm. A farm that has been in Wallingford, at this location since the 1700’s and passed down from generation to generation. It’s situated on Northford Rd in East Wallingford not far from the Northford town line. It appears that it is still in the family and the tradition continues. Church of the Resurrection, Wallingford CT

Church of the Resurrection 115 Pond Hill Rd. Wallingford CT 06492 (203) 265-1694 http://resurrectionct.org/ I photograph churches based on either historical significance or unusual/beautiful architecture. I felt that this church has beautiful lines and is somewhat unusual in it’s construction. I remember when the church was built in 1965 and, frankly, it doesn’t look like it has aged much. Still a beauty! Photographed with Nikon D7100, 24MP camera and Tokina AT-X-11-20mm shot at 20mm. (35mm equiv.= 30mm). 1/60th, f18, ISO 400

    Coyote prowling a dairy farm.

[wzslider height=”510″ lightbox=”true”]Coyote in the foreground prowling around the farm with unsuspecting cows in the distant background. I was able to scare the coyote off but I can’t guarantee tomorrow.  Typically coyote’s don’t attack cows but their calf’s are vulnerable. Image captured on Whirlwind Hill Rd., Wallingford CT.
