    Flaming feather!

This is a close up shot of a portion of a bird feather. I snipped off the upper portion of the feather and pulled away many of the feathers along the stem to achieve this look. It was photographed in studio setting with studio lighting. I felt that feather mimicked the look of being on fire hence the name of this blog entry. Photographed with a Sony A7RV, 61mp, mirrorless camera and a Sony 90mm F2.8 Macro lens. 1.6 sec., F16, ISO 100, MANUAL MODE

Picture perfect barn in Woodbury CT

On the way back from a photoshoot in Roxbury Cheryl and I, by chance, happened upon this beautiful old barn in Woodbury. It’s been in the family for many years and belonged to the current owners Grandfather. This is not its original site as the entire barn and foundation were moved here at one time. There had been an addition in the rear which had suffered a collapse. This is one of the most beautiful barns I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing with its unique styling and weathered barn board. Photographed with a Sony A7RV, 61mp mirrorless camera and a Sony 24-70 F2.8 GMII lens @ 52mm. 1/4 second,…
