Abandoned aging old steel barn, Terryville CT
The three of us were out barn hunting and saw this beautiful old abandoned steel building in Terryville CT. It sat about 100 yards, in an open heavily overgrown field, behind what was once a major steel fabrication shop. So although I don’t know for sure it just seems like it could have been a maintenance shop for that facility. Although shot in color I rendered it in black in white to give it a sort of nostalgic look as it sits long abandoned and isolated. The Barn at Brooksvale Park
It was late August and Cheryl and I went over to the Brooksvale Park in Hamden CT to photograph this historic barn. It was a joint effort as Cheryl framed this beautiful scene layout and I took the image. The Brooksvale Barn was built at some time in the 1700’s making it one of the oldest barns I’ve ever photographed. It sits on 500 acres of land most of which is wooded and used for trail walking.
