One with the land in Harwinton CT
Not sure if this would be classified as a barn or a storage shed but either way I was struck by it’s beautiful appearance. Tucked into a small hill and adorned with ivy it was unusual and had eye appeal. Harwinton CT is its home. Photographed with a Sony A7RII, 42MP full framed mirrorless camera and a Sony 24-105 F4 lens at 46mm. ISO 500, 1/640th, f11, Aperture Priority

Don’t knock on this door!
If you look closely, this mysterious small A-Framed structure, is visible in the woods of Burlington CT from the roadway. The bold sign on the front door states “POSTED-NO TRESPASSING”. So, like I always do, I respect private property and no trespassing signs and didn’t get closer than the image shows. What lies within this rather cool and mysterious looking structure? I don’t know and I’ll never know but I do think it made for a cool image. Cheryl stayed in the car planning our route for our next barn stop. Photographed with a Sony A7RII, 42.4 MP full framed mirrorless camera and a Sony 24-105 F4 @ 34 mm.…

Nature has aged this barn beautifully in Middletown CT
Nature has taken it’s toll on this wonderful old small barn on or in the area of Bell St. in Middletown CT. New England’s tough winters have nearly collapsed the roof but, like us New Englanders, it will stand proud until it can’t stand any more. Once, most likely, the home for farm tools, it stands as a reminder of what once was. Photographed with a Nikon D7100 and Nikon 18-55 @ 22mm 1/500th, f10, ISO 200, Aperture Priority

Weir Farm, old building, Wilton CT
[wzslider height=”600″ lightbox=”true”]Photographed on the grounds of Weir Farm in Litchfield County CT. Once an artists colony it’s now a federal park. The layout has been modified slightly in photoshop to accentuate the surroundings. Because it’s the back of the building I can’t remember if it was a barn or a house or what? Either way it’s old and it’s attractive to me.
