    A perfect barn in Southbury.

    I’ve been after this barn for months but there were always cars parked in front of it and people working in or around it which precluded me from taking the shot. Although, this day, there was one person working in the barn I knew it wouldn’t get much better than this so I took my shots. With no real place to park my car I just idled across the street for a brief second to take the wide angle shot. I left, changed lenses, then returned idling once again for another second or two and took my closer shots. I must say this is one of the most pristine nicely…

    Abandoned Old Church in Southbury CT

    While Cheryl and I were on the hunt for barns in Southbury we stumbled upon this old gem. Which, of course, isn’t a barn.  I thought, at first, that it was some type of meeting house back in the day.  I wasn’t able to find anything on the internet about it so I reached out to the Southbury Historical Society.  Their President was kind enough to write back to me.  She informed me that this was a church from 1827 – 1942 and that the steeple had fallen off.
