Reflections of MacKenzie Reseroir, Wallingford CT
On our way back from photographing a barn on the East side of Wallingford Cheryl wanted to stop and photograph some ducks flying around MacKenzie Reservoir. While I was waiting for her I looked for a shot. This is what I came up with. What appealed to me about this image was the absolute symmetry this cluster of tree’s presented. It was completed balanced from top to bottom and left to right. You don’t see that a lot. Photographed with a Sony A7RV 61mp mirrorless camera and a Sony 24-70mm F2.8 GM II lens at 24mm. 1/320th, f18, ISO 1000, Aperture Priority

Sunset at Osborndale State Park, Derby CT
Cheryl and I had never been to Osborndale State Park in Derby before so we decided to give it a go. It was a cold winters day and very few people were there. We parked in the designated parking area and it was a one minute walk to the pond. We were hoping to see ducks and geese but nothing. Cheryl wanted to photograph birds and headed over to the woods adjacent to the pond and waited. She came away with a nice red winged black bird and a woodpecker shot. I had a short zoom on my camera which was not conducive to birding so I tried to find…

Cheryl and I were barn hunting off our list in Roxbury/Woodbury CT and were fortunate enough to photograph this beautiful old barn situated on the banks of the Shepaug River. This barn has been nicely maintained over the years. It made for a quaint setting. I’m sure in the fall it will be gorgeous. Perhaps we’ll return. Barn/House? Woodbury CT
As I was parked on the side of a rather busy road with my wife in the car so I took this image rather quickly. As a result I didn’t really study the grounds and when I got home to look at the image I wasn’t sure if this was a barn or a re-purposed barn that became someones home. Photographed with a Sony A7RV, 61MP mirrorless camera and a Sony 24-70 F2.8 GM II lens @ 33mm. 1/50th, f8, ISO 100, Aperture Priority
