Partially Abandoned Barn, Coventry CT
[wzslider height=”525″ lightbox=”true”]The sun is setting on this somewhat abandoned barn at an old dairy farm in rural Coventry CT. The farm itself was not actually abandoned but I believe the barn they currently use to house their livestock was across the street. If I had to guess the farmer probably just uses stores hay in the loft. While photographing I was approached by a middle aged man in overhauls with a thick build that years of farming had obviously developed. I was concerned that he would object to my photo’s but, to the contrary, he just wanted to know what I was up to and was a very cordial…

This grande green building is actually the horse barn. Some folks have mistaken it for the house but the family home is off to the right just outside of the picture. If you’re wondering what prevents the horse from running off there was an electric fence in the thick brush in the foreground of the image. I did remove it in photoshop for aesthetic reasons.
