The Webb Barn, Whethersfield CT
[wzslider height=”600″ lightbox=”true”]The Webb Barn is located in the historical section of Wethersfield CT. Built circa 1840 the barn has had additions since that time. I’m told by the caretakers that local wood from nearby structures was used for the additions to help maintain the originality. Present day the barn is part of the Webb-Deane-Stevens museum and is also rented…

Weir Farm, old building, Wilton CT
[wzslider height=”600″ lightbox=”true”]Photographed on the grounds of Weir Farm in Litchfield County CT. Once an artists colony it’s now a federal park. The layout has been modified slightly in photoshop to accentuate the surroundings. Because it’s the back of the building I can’t remember if it was a barn or a house or what? Old barn & US flag, July 4th, Rocky Hill CT
It was the 4th of July weekend and Cheryl and I were travelling down a side road in Rocky Hill, CT when we saw this beautiful old barn. The site of Old Glory hanging from it’s side made it special. I’ve since been by this barn and the flag has been removed. Apparantly put up to commemorate the 4th only.

Like the rest of the town, it too, can’t…

Abandoned Barn, No.Branford, CT
While travelling on Rt. 80 in North Branford, CT, mid February of 2015, I spotted this beautiful old barn. I stopped the car, got out, and took this picture from the other side of the highway. It’s cropped rather tightly because there were numerous electrical wires cutting through the tops of the tree line. In addition there were telephone poles…

Abandoned Tractor – Meriden, CT
[wzslider height=”800″ info=”true” lightbox=”true”] This tractor and barn sat on property across from the Westfield Shopping Mall in Meriden, CT for years unattended. Target moved in and developed the land. The tractor remained for a few years at the entrance to Target but was demolished sometimes during 2012. I found this to be a rather interesting scene.
