• Barns,  Journey's

    Preparing the field before winter.

Farm in Johnston RI. The family has been farming this land since 1890. Although the buildings, field and people were captured by me during my visit I did alter the exact location of the buildings on the property for artistic value. Unfortunately I was not able to photograph their largest barn as the view was blocked from the road. Photographed with a Nikon D7100, Nikon 18-55 mm lens @ 38mm. 1/500th, f11, ISO 400

  • Abandoned,  Barns,  Journey's

Remnants of what once was a dairy farm.

This was a working farm for nearly all of the 20th century. In 2000 the Town of Cheshire purchased the 93 acre property. The town rents out the old Lassen homestead (not shown). NOTE: The field in which the barn sits has been slightly modified for artistic purposes. Photographed with Nikon D7100, Nikon 18-55 mm @ 18 mm. 1/400th, f16, ISO 400

    “Eagle rock”, Hebron CT

When driving through the town of Hebron CT on RT 66 be on the loooking for this painted Eagle on a piece of outrock adjacent to the road.  It’s actually between Stonehouse and Buck Roads near #516 Rt. 66. The rock has been painted since 1989 and has become a sort of landmark.  It’s my understanding that the town embraces the artistry and that periodically town’s people will touch it up. When I took this photo I was happy to see a number of American Flags in the foreground.   Photographed with Nikon D7100, Nikon 18-55 mm lens @ 55 mm. 1/160 sec; f/8; ISO 400
