    The Road Not Taken

Robert Frosts poem “The Road Not Taken” has always resonated with me. It’s so true to if we blindly follow the paths of the multitude we may end up with the same results but if we blaze our own trail the outcomes are unlimited. I had a mental image of this picture in my mind by photographing a leaf with all its veins to represent the various roads or paths. Frosts quote was “paraphrased” from his original poem. Photographed in studio with a fixed mounted Nikon 7100 tethered to Helicon Remote and Helicon Focus Software for focus stacking purposes. (21) shots were taken at F8, ISO 100, 1/100th and stacked…

    It’s fall at the castle.

I set up my tripod on the sidewalk at the south end of Hubbard Park’s pond aimed at the Castle waiting for the light. In short time it lit portions of the foliage beneath the Castle causing their beauty to speak to you. The shutter was snapped and yes I was lucky enough to catch that hawk circling the castle he was not added in later. Walter Hubbard, a local business magnate, donated all 1800 acres to the City of Meriden in 1900 with the one stipulation that the City could not reap any financial rewards from the towns folks and I think they’ve lived up to that commitment. The…

Miniatures meet real world – Hartford Harley Davidson

I’m a motorcycle fan from way back. Got my 1st motorcycle, thanks to a loan from my Great Grandmother, in 1972. It was a black and chrome 1966 Suzuki 150 GT. The cylinders were bored out by the previous owner to 185cc. I think I paid $250.00 for it. It had no baffles in the dual pipes and none were to be found anywhere so I’d keep stuffing Brillo pads in them to reduce the noise. I had a lot of fun with that bike and it got me back and forth to high school in the warm weather which was a big plus. Jumping ahead, in 2003 I was…
