If money’s not an option then build this monster barn.
What a monster of a barn on Ramstein Rd. in the Bakersville section of New Hartford CT. Judging from it’s design and pristine appearance I would think it’s fairly new construction. Although I typically photography “old” barns how could I resist this massive beauty? Photographed with a Sony Nex 7, 24MP, mirrorless camera and a Sony 55-210 F4.5-6.3 OSS lens at 55 (in 35mm = 82). 1/1000th, f8, ISO 400, Aperture Priority.

Weir Farm, old building, Wilton CT
[wzslider height=”600″ lightbox=”true”]Photographed on the grounds of Weir Farm in Litchfield County CT. Once an artists colony it’s now a federal park. The layout has been modified slightly in photoshop to accentuate the surroundings. Because it’s the back of the building I can’t remember if it was a barn or a house or what? Either way it’s old and it’s attractive to me. Isolated in the woods of Cornwall
My sales work took me into the hills of Litchfield County, CT this day. As I was travelling through the rural Town of Cornwall, (pop. 1,450), I couldn’t help but notice this beautiful sweeping cornfield. As I looked closer I saw a home situated in the hills on the far side of the field. It was completely isolated with nothing around it as far as the eye could see. I’m more of a city guy but I’m sure this is a dream location for many folks. Double click on the photo for a larger view of what I saw.

Connecticut Antique Machinery Association
[wzslider height=”800″ info=”true” lightbox=”true”]Cheryl and I visited CAMA (Connecticut Antique Machinery Association) in Kent, CT. For a link to their website go to: http://www.ctamachinery.com/. We had the pleasure of driving there during the summer from central Connecticut which afforded us the opportunity to take in the picturesque surroundings that Litchfield County has to offer. See my post “Driving through Litchfield County”. Their grounds are not too visible from the roadway but their sign is adjacent to the driveway just over an old set of railroad tracks. They are located about a mile north of the center of Kent. We were immediately greeted by a woman working in the reception “shed/barn”…
