Model train meets real world. Train crossing Middlefield CT.

    May 22, 2022 / No Comments

An Atlas model railroad N-Scale, 1:160th, Conrail GP-40 locomotive from the 1970’s with freight cars was photographed in my studio using a Nikon D7100, Nikon 105mm F2.8 lens. The train consisted of 62 images all at various focus points and merged into one final photograph using Helicon Focus Stacking Software. I also photographed the railroad crossing and old building at…

Elm Spring Farm, Rimmon Rd., Beacon Falls CT

    November 2, 2021 / No Comments

This is my idea of a cow barn!  Long enough to hold a fair amount of milkers and tall enough to load up mountains of hay and alphafa to keep them fed all under a beautiful gambrel roof.  As you leave Seymour, travelling north, you’ll cross the town line into Beacon Falls and immediately come upon this awesome looking old…

    Harwinton Barn scene

    June 20, 2020 / No Comments

Just as a side note I’ve been shooting barns a long time in CT and Harwinton has got to have the most barns of any town I can remember. This particular scene is part of a several acre lot home to horse stables and riding area’s. However, this was the only barn I had a decent shot on without entering…
