    Hartford Hi-Rise

    [wzslider height=”800″ lightbox=”true”]While walking through downtown Hartford CT looking for photo opportunities this building caught my eye.  It seemed so pristine and jumped right out against the deep blue sky. It houses either apartments or condominiums. Photographed with Sony Nex 7, 24MP, mirrorless camera and 18-55mm Sony lens.

    Hartford Skyline from Wickham Park

    Wickham, 1329 W. Middle Tpke. Manchester, CT 06040.  Open April thru October. Parking: Mon.-Fri. $4, Sat., Sun. & holidays $5. Privately owned foundation spanning Manchester and East Hartford, CT. I  visited Wickham Park for the first time in late April for the purposes of capturing a photo of the Hartford Skyline.  This was my first, (and only visit so far), to the park. What an absolute gem of a park! It’s 250 acres are well maintained and offer a variety of venues which include:  wildlife center, bird sanctuary, open fields, clear view of Hartford, tennis, volleyball, horseshoes, approx.     Graffiti – Heaven Park, Hartford, CT

    [wzslider height=”800″ info=”true” lightbox=”true”] Known as “Heaven” by the flocks of skate boarders from around the region that frequent it New Ross, County Wexford Park, is now the subject of controversy. Due to complaints from the Police, and some citizenry there is a proposal at float to limit graffiti to only two walls. Of course there are many “walls” in the park because there are multiple buildings and a stone wall around the entire park. So limiting this to two walls would in fact pretty much end a contained place for artistic and self expression at it has been in the past. Not only are the walls utilized but most…
