A Return visit to Brooksvale (Park) Farm….more pics.

Brooksvale Park Farm, 524 Brooksvale Ave, Hamden, CT 06518 Cheryl and I initially visited these barns/farm to take this picture: The Barn at Brooksvale Park – Journey Thru My Lens (journeysthrumylens.com) .  I returned a couple of weeks later and spent some time walking around the farm taking more images. I believe these barns were constructed by the Brooks family in the 1700’s. It’s very peaceful out here at the park and I would think would make a nice visit for families with small children mainly because of the animals.  There is also a childrens playground area for them to enjoy. All images were photographed with a Sony A7RV, 61 mp mirrorless camera…

Barn – Mount Carmen Ave., Hamden CT

Looks like the barn to the right/rear was probably the original and the barn in the foreground was added at a later time. These barns are situated on a nice piece of property on Mount Carmel Ave. in Hamden. This road is probably best known for Sleeping Giant State Park and Quinnipiac University. Hopefully the owner is able to tend to the gaping hole in the roof before too much serious deterioration is done. Other than that the exterior has been preserved fairly well. Photographed with a Sony A7RII 42MP full frame, mirrorless camera and a Sony 24-105 lens at 34mm. 1/250th, f16, ISO 400, Aperture priority.

Old Barn, Todd St., Hamden CT

Nice looking old barn on Todd St., in Hamden CT. What makes this one unique is the addition of a chimney. They must have been venting stove pipe into it. Photographed with a Sony A7RII 42.2 MB, full frame mirrorless camera and a Sony FE 24-105 lens @ 51 mm. 1/200th, f11, ISO 400, Aperture Priority
