Horses Grazing at The Butterfly Farm, Lincoln RI

The Butterfly Farm 667 Great Rd., (Rte. 123) Lincoln, RI 02865 While in Lincoln RI I spotted this beautiful farm scene that I had photographed years ago. However, this time it had two horses grazing in the field. In addition the sky was warm and the fence in the foreground had an interested break. These are the kinds of scenes I relish and look for. There is a lot going on at the Butterfly Farm. Goats in front of the barn in Harwinton CT

There was a small group of goats just off camera to the right but these three were nice enough to head over my way and pay me a visit. This scene was shot in the countryside of Harwinton CT. Photographed with a Sony A7RII, 42 MP, full framed, mirrorless camera and a Sony 24-105mm F4 lengs at 43mm. ISO 100, 1/200th, F11, Aperture Priority

    Barn & horse in Bethany/Woodbridge CT area………

My apologies but I’m not sure if this was taken in Bethany or Woodbridge CT. I remember not being able to locate the town line sign but it was certainly close to the town line. This was a beautiful corner lot of multiple acres which situated upon it were a barn, house, coral and field located on a main route going through town. The image was shot as seen except for one slight modification to the grounds in photoshop. Photographed with a Sony A7RII 42.4 MP full frame mirrorless camera and a Sony 24-105 F4 lens @ 41 mm. 1/40th, f16, ISO 400, APERTURE PRIORITY

Grazing the field in Bethany CT

This is the largest horse barn I’ve come upon. Located on a side street off the main road in Bethany CT it probably offers a lot more than just boarding. I was able to catch this horse grazing near the fence and I was able to get him in the shot up close with his barn off in the sunset. Photographed with Nikon D7100 and Nikon 18-55 @ 24mm (35mm equiv.= 36mm) 1/125th, f16, ISO 400, MANUAL MODE

    Coyote prowling a dairy farm.

[wzslider height=”510″ lightbox=”true”]Coyote in the foreground prowling around the farm with unsuspecting cows in the distant background. I was able to scare the coyote off but I can’t guarantee tomorrow.  Typically coyote’s don’t attack cows but their calf’s are vulnerable. Image captured on Whirlwind Hill Rd., Wallingford CT. Nikon D7100, 18-55mm lens @ 55mm. 1/500, f/11, ISO 100
