    [wzslider height=”800″ info=”true” lightbox=”true”] Karen Hutton’s photography has reached over 1,000,000 followers on Google+!  That’s no easy task.  In the last two or three years she shifted from a pure business model to following her heart as an artist and this has produced striking results. Although she doesn’t limit herself there is a focus on landscape, architectural and some close up photography.  She frequently post processes her captures into an HDR style image. This is the combining of 2-6 images each which are exposed differently to capture extreme dynamic ranges.  The multiple images are  brought into a software package, (like Photomatrix).     Graffiti – Heaven Park, Hartford, CT

    [wzslider height=”800″ info=”true” lightbox=”true”] Known as “Heaven” by the flocks of skate boarders from around the region that frequent it New Ross, County Wexford Park, is now the subject of controversy. Due to complaints from the Police, and some citizenry there is a proposal at float to limit graffiti to only two walls. Of course there are many “walls” in the park because there are multiple buildings and a stone wall around the entire park.     Under the Providence River Bridge.

    [wzslider height=”800″ info=”true” lightbox=”true”]As I was photographing the Providence River Bridge in Providence, RI I noticed a skate boarder under in a large barren area under the east side of the bridge.  He caught my attention so I wondered over to the area.  As soon as I entered he scooted out.  However I found countless areas of graffiti on the walls which are shown on the attached slide show.

    Graffiti in New Haven

    [wzslider height=”800″ info=”true” lightbox=”true”] While driving through New Haven, CT recently I spotted this rather colorful wall art on a building.  Whoever did this obviously had artistic qualitities.  I tried to “google” some of the words but couldn’t come up with translations.  It’s been up a long time because I remember driving by it years ago so it can’t be anything offensive.
