The Windmill at Aqua Turf, Southington CT

The Aqua Turf Club 556 Mulberry St. Plantsville, CT 06479 (860) 621-9335 Cheryl and I made a stop at the Aqua Turf on a day when they weren’t holding any weddings or events so the grounds were empty. Lavender Pond Farm, Killingworth CT

318 Roast Meat Hill Rd, Killingworth, CT 06419 Cheryl and I stopped at this beautiful Lavender Farm recently in the countryside of Killingworth CT. If you plan on having picnic on the property bring your own food as they don’t sell food there. The pond is…

Old Drake Hill Flower Bridge, Simsbury CT

Old Drake Hill Flower Bridge 1 Old Bridge Rd. Simsbury, CT 06070 Cheryl and I were driving all over Simsbury CT one beautiful Saturday afternoon checking off our list of “must have” shots. We were focusing on old barns and didn’t have this shot on our list. It was by shear luck that we happened by it and were taken by it’s serenity and beauty. It was built in 1892. Winter is upon us.  The day’s are short and nights are cold.  All of us in CT have been blessed with a very warm start to winter during December but come January I’m sure temperatures will return to normal.  This photo is of a local horse farm in Hamden, CT. Photo taken with Nikon D7100 and 15-88 zoom lens.
