Horses Grazing at The Butterfly Farm, Lincoln RI
The Butterfly Farm 667 Great Rd., (Rte. 123) Lincoln, RI 02865 While in Lincoln RI I spotted this beautiful farm scene that I had photographed years ago. However, this time it had two horses grazing in the field. In addition the sky was warm and the fence in the foreground had an interested break. These are the kinds of scenes I relish and look for. There is a lot going on at the Butterfly Farm. Barn/House? Woodbury CT
As I was parked on the side of a rather busy road with my wife in the car so I took this image rather quickly. As a result I didn’t really study the grounds and when I got home to look at the image I wasn’t sure if this was a barn or a re-purposed barn that became someones home. Photographed with a Sony A7RV, 61MP mirrorless camera and a Sony 24-70 F2.8 GM II lens @ 33mm. 1/50th, f8, ISO 100, Aperture Priority

Barn & horse in Bethany/Woodbridge CT area………
My apologies but I’m not sure if this was taken in Bethany or Woodbridge CT. I remember not being able to locate the town line sign but it was certainly close to the town line. This was a beautiful corner lot of multiple acres which situated upon it were a barn, house, coral and field located on a main route going through town. The image was shot as seen except for one slight modification to the grounds in photoshop. Photographed with a Sony A7RII 42.4 MP full frame mirrorless camera and a Sony 24-105 F4 lens @ 41 mm. 1/40th, f16, ISO 400, APERTURE PRIORITY

Long and winding road…….that leads us…….to a baarrrrrn
This lengthy fence and driveway leads us to an old barn in Roxbury CT where the sun sets on it’s backside. Photographed with a Sony A7RII 42.4 MP full frame, mirrorless camera and a Sony 24-105 F4 lens @ 80 mm. 1/50th, f16, ISO 100 Aperture Priority

Cow Barn, Coventry CT
Cheryl and I were barn hunting in Coventry CT and added this to our already nice collection of Coventry barns from a previous trip. It appeared to me that this cow barn was still in use. Could possibly use a little paint but, all in all, was holding up fairly well. I was happy to see “Old Glory” proudly flying near the front entrance. Goats in the barnyard………..
If you look carefully you’ll see a handful of goats meandering about the barnyard at the Windy Acres Farm on Burnt Hill Rd in Hebron CT. Photographed with a Nikon D7100, Nikon 18-55 @ 34mm (51mm/35 equiv). 1/125th f16, ISO 400 Aperture priority.

Surrounding foliage keeps this barn upright.
This sun sets on this old barn in RT 80 in North Branford CT. I think it’s close to it’s final curtain call. If you saw the other side, which I was unable to photograph without entering their property, you’d see the entire wall was missing and most of the roof. I don’t know how much longer this barn has before complete collapse. I’m reasonably sure that the upcoming New England winter will cause it to reach it’s tipping point. Too bad because it must have a been a beauty in its day. I like old barns in various states of decline so, to me, the barn still looks beautiful.…

Grazing the field in Bethany CT
This is the largest horse barn I’ve come upon. Located on a side street off the main road in Bethany CT it probably offers a lot more than just boarding. I was able to catch this horse grazing near the fence and I was able to get him in the shot up close with his barn off in the sunset. Photographed with Nikon D7100 and Nikon 18-55 @ 24mm (35mm equiv.= 36mm) 1/125th, f16, ISO 400, MANUAL MODE
