Preparing the field before winter.
Farm in Johnston RI. The family has been farming this land since 1890. Although the buildings, field and people were captured by me during my visit I did alter the exact location of the buildings on the property for artistic value. Partially Abandoned Barn, Coventry CT
[wzslider height=”525″ lightbox=”true”]The sun is setting on this somewhat abandoned barn at an old dairy farm in rural Coventry CT. The farm itself was not actually abandoned but I believe the barn they currently use to house their livestock was across the street. If I had to guess the farmer probably just uses stores hay in the loft. While photographing I was approached by a middle aged man in overhauls with a thick build that years of farming had obviously developed. I was concerned that he would object to my photo’s but, to the contrary, he just wanted to know what I was up to and was a very cordial…
