Old Cow Farm in Litchfield CT

Another barn on the list for Cheryl and I in Litchfield CT this bright sunny day. This property covered many acres and was a beautiful site to see. I’m sure at one time this was a bustling farm replete with farm house as seen in the right distant side of the image. However, with it’s boarded windows I believe the farm house is no longer occupied. I didn’t see a lot of activity or any livestock during my visit so I’m not sure to what extent the farm is utilized today. A old beauty on Tranquilty Rd., Middlebury CT

This combination farm house/barn/garage is absolutely a work of art. If I had to guess it was probably built in the late 1800’s with post and beam construction. Although it’s very beautiful from the road it’s true beauty is in the detail. If I was able to go into these structures it would take me back in time. Built with such fine craftsmanship that they stand solid today after all these years. These grounds have an absolutely breathtaking view of Middlbebury’s valley. You can literally see for miles on end. Situated on Tranquility Rd., in this neighborhood, you’ll find some of the most beautiful homes you could ever imagine. Some,…
