Elm Spring Farm, Rimmon Rd., Beacon Falls CT
This is my idea of a cow barn! Long enough to hold a fair amount of milkers and tall enough to load up mountains of hay and alphafa to keep them fed all under a beautiful gambrel roof. As you leave Seymour, travelling north, you’ll cross the town line into Beacon Falls and immediately come upon this awesome looking old time farm on Rimmon Hill Rd. I don’t usually like white barns but this one is an exception. Another beautiful barn in Roxbury CT
Another barn on our “to do” list of barns in gorgeous Roxbury CT for Cheryl and I. As you can see it’s a beautiful, tranquil setting that was most likely a bustling cow farm back in the day. The property owner came over to us and was very cordial welcoming us to photograph the barn as we liked. We shared our website address and hope he stops by to see the finished results. Cow Barn, Coventry CT
Cheryl and I were barn hunting in Coventry CT and added this to our already nice collection of Coventry barns from a previous trip. It appeared to me that this cow barn was still in use. Could possibly use a little paint but, all in all, was holding up fairly well. I was happy to see “Old Glory” proudly flying near the front entrance. Rich Farm Ice Cream 691 Oxford Road (Rt 67) Oxford, Connecticut 06478 When Cheryl and I pulled the car along the side of Rt 67 to photograph this absolutely gorgeous barn it started raining. I rolled down the drivers side window and was able to squeeze off two shots but it was raining to hard that I had to close the window and call it a day. Fortunately when I got home I was glad to see that I got a decent shot.
