Horses Grazing at The Butterfly Farm, Lincoln RI
The Butterfly Farm 667 Great Rd., (Rte. 123) Lincoln, RI 02865 While in Lincoln RI I spotted this beautiful farm scene that I had photographed years ago. However, this time it had two horses grazing in the field. In addition the sky was warm and the fence in the foreground had an interested break. These are the kinds of scenes I relish and look for. There is a lot going on at the Butterfly Farm. A pumpkin welcomes visitor to this rust Kent CT barn.
With fall in the air, and Halloween around the corner, Cheryl was excited not only to see Old Glory adorn the entrance of this rustic barn but a bright beautiful pumpkin sitting at the stoop as well. Golden leaves adorned the landscape, and a colorful sky shown through, this barn made quite an impact on us in the lovely town of Kent CT. The homeowners house, (out of sight to the right), had a sign that said 1835. I don’t know when the barn was actually constructed. Photographed with a Sony A7RII, 42.4 mb, mirrorless camera and a Sony 24-120 zoom lens at 39mm. Aperture Priority, F8, 1/320th, ISO 1000.…

Beautiful barn setting in Bethlehem CT
Cheryl and I caught an absolutely beautiful and warm October day while we set out to track down our list of barns in Bethlehem CT. Knowing that winter was right around the corner we wanted to capture as many barns as we could before the snow flew and the cold weather set in. The barn is untouched but honestly the land it sat on didn’t make for the best image. So I took artistic license and photoshpped the barn/silo into another scene. Photographed with a Nikon D7100, 24 MP camera and a Nikon 18-55 lens at 38 mm. (35mm equiv.=57mm) 1/250th, f13, ISO 100 Aperture Priority

Preparing the field before winter.
Farm in Johnston RI. The family has been farming this land since 1890. Although the buildings, field and people were captured by me during my visit I did alter the exact location of the buildings on the property for artistic value. Unfortunately I was not able to photograph their largest barn as the view was blocked from the road. Photographed with a Nikon D7100, Nikon 18-55 mm lens @ 38mm. 1/500th, f11, ISO 400
