    Boathouse in York ME

    While driving around scoping out potential shots we drove by this old boathouse and immediately knew it had shot potential. We then got up early one of the mornings, during our stay at York ME, and headed over. Of course, the buoy’s are what makes it so eye catching. We were fortunate to get there before the workers or boaters arrived and had the place to ourselves.     Motif # 1, Rockport MA

    We had arrived!  I was finally here and boy was I excited.  Rockport MA and beautiful Rockport Harbor,  home of what is purpoted to be the most painted building in the world – MOTIF # 1. This beautiful fishing shack was originally built in 1884 but was destroyed by the hurricane of 1978 (which I vividly remember being a New England resident myself).  It was quickly rebuilt and is currently owned by the Town of Rockport.  Year after year it graces magazine covers, a postage stamp, and appears in movies and t.v. ads.
