This looks like the remains of what once was a tobacco barn in Manchester CT. Aging comfortably beside is an old rusting truck. Photographed with a Nikon D7100 and Nikon 18-55 lens @ 55mm. (35mm equiv. = 82mm) 1/125th, F8, ISO 400, Aperture Priority, Focus Stacked.

Cheryl and I took a ride out to Cornwall CT on the weekend where we discovered a quaint New England farm called “Local Farm”.  These barns were on the property. Photographed with Sony Nex 7, 24MP, mirrorless camera and 18-55 lens at 18mm. 1/125, f10, ISO 100.

Photographs taken with Samsung Galaxy Note II smartphone camera. Tobacco barns and fields in Enfield, CT.  Once a thriving market it has declined considerably due to an overall decrease in smoking.

I thought the snow played nicely with the overall appeal of these photo’s.  Frankly I couldn’t tell if these barns are in use or not.  The large old “cow barn” is the most beautiful barn I’d ever seen.  I suspect it’s been re-purposed but to what end I don’t know.  […]
