    Beautiful Barns in Suffield, CT

    [wzslider autoplay=”true” interval=”6000″ height=”900″ lightbox=”true”]I thought the snow played nicely with the overall appeal of these photo’s.  Frankly I couldn’t tell if these barns are in use or not.  The large old “cow barn” is the most beautiful barn I’d ever seen.  I suspect it’s been re-purposed but to what end I don’t know.  It’s maintained beautifully and makes quite a statement.  I couldn’t resist capturing this photograph in Suffield in north/central CT not far from the MA border. Taken with my Fuji Finepix F100fd 12mp pocket camera.

    Abandoned Cow Farm – Roxbury, CT

    [wzslider autoplay=”true” height=”800″ lightbox=”true”]I visited Roxbury, CT for the purposes of photographing an iconic barn with an American flag painted on the side (which I did).  However, while there I noticed this old abandoned cow farm. I’ve worked as an on the road salesman in CT for over 30 years and I don’t ever remember going to Roxbury, CT.  This is certainly an out of the way, hidden gem, in the rolling hills of Litchfield, CT.  I’m sure they have a “downtown” somewhere but I didn’t happen upon it.  All I saw was farms and sprawling estates.     Driving through Litchfield County CT

    [wzslider height=”800″ info=”true” lightbox=”true”]Cheryl and I were on our way to the Connecticut Antique Machinery Association museum and had the pleasure of driving through beautiful Litchfield County.  Although we’ve lived in CT most of our lives this part of the state never gets old to us. Because we were on our way somewhere I didn’t want to delay the trip too much by stopping over and over for photo’s.  However as a photographer I see light and images everywhere I go whether I’m working or playing.  Hence the need to always have a camera by my side.
