Cheryl and I stopped by the 1811 Old Jail in Wiscassett, Lincoln Country ME. Unfortuantely it was closed for the season during our September arrival. The prison has unique juxtaposition of jailers quarters hitched to the jail itself. Although we were unable to go inside I did find some interior photo’s at the Lincoln County Historical Society webpage. The jailers home was quite nicely appointed while the jail was one step up from a dungeon.
