Iconic Barn (American Flag) -Roxbury, CT
Many photographers throughout CT and surrounding area’s have made the trek over to Roxbury, CT for the purposes of photographing this very unusual and eye-catching “iconic” barn on the property of the Greyledge Farm. So when I learned of this beautiful scene I wasted no time in taking this photograph. Originally I emailed the owners of the Greyledge Farm and asked for their permission to enter the property and take photographs. They were very cordial in allowing me to do so. However, up0n arriving, I felt that the best view was from the public road and didn’t need to set foot on their property (which is always preferred anyways). So…

Abandoned Cow Farm – Roxbury, CT
[wzslider autoplay=”true” height=”800″ lightbox=”true”]I visited Roxbury, CT for the purposes of photographing an iconic barn with an American flag painted on the side (which I did). However, while there I noticed this old abandoned cow farm. I’ve worked as an on the road salesman in CT for over 30 years and I don’t ever remember going to Roxbury, CT. This is certainly an out of the way, hidden gem, in the rolling hills of Litchfield, CT. I’m sure they have a “downtown” somewhere but I didn’t happen upon it. All I saw was farms and sprawling estates. Because of it’s reclusive nature this part of the world has been home…

East Rock, New Haven, CT
[wzslider autoplay=”true” interval=”6000″ height=”800″ lightbox=”true”] East Rock Park, New Haven, CT. From Davis Street, take the first left turn onto the Summit Drive. The Summit of East Rock is accessible by foot, bicycle or car and affords visitors a spectacular view of downtown New Haven, New Haven Harbor, Long Island Sound, and surrounding communities. It is a favorite tourist stop in New Haven. Shown is the attached photo is a rather stately monument dedicated to sailors and soldiers. East Rock Park is open year round to hikers and walkers. There is a fairly challenging hikers trail on the face of the overlook. The automobile road is open April 1 to…

Motorcycle riding Santa!
[wzslider height=”800″ lightbox=”true”]In keeping with the Christmas spirit I put together this Christmas Still life. I had a photo of the snowmen already which I used as my back drop. A sheet of cotton served as the “snow” on the ground. Santa is a gift I received a few years back from my Mother In Law. One light was used overhead and slightly to the left. Push the button and the motorcycle rocks back and forth while Santa sings some holiday tunes! Anyway’s I thought it made a fun still life. Merry Christmas to all!
