Abandoned Daniels Mill, Rockvill CT in 2013.
Danoiels Mill 98 E. Main St. Rockville CT There are (3) images shown, which were taken back in 2013. One of the images I took from East Main St. looking towards the Mill. The other image is behind the Mill. The Daniels Mill is cut out from the image and would be on the far left (not shown). The factories shown are the rear of what once was Amerbelle and Anacoil (my best guess). The last image I copied and pasted from an article in Patch.com written by Chris Dehnel on 6/24/21. It is a historic picture obviously borrowed from the local historical society and depicts the Daniels Mill in…

Model Train meets Real World – New Amtrak Station, Wallingford CT
This image begins with a trip to Wallingford CT where, along with my wife Cheryl, we photographed the new Amtrak Train Station. This station was built about three years ago and ia 1/4 mile north of the original Train Station. Then the Conrail GP-40 locomotive, N-Scale (1:160) Atlas train, along with Kato’s N-Scale Amtrak passenger cars were photographed in my studio. It is important to photograph the miniature trains, (each car about 3″ long and 1″ high), at as close to the same perspective as where they are going to end up in the actual photograph or the image won’t be usuable. I do this by having the train station…

Model train meets real world. Train crossing Middlefield CT.
An Atlas model railroad N-Scale, 1:160th, Conrail GP-40 locomotive from the 1970’s with freight cars was photographed in my studio using a Nikon D7100, Nikon 105mm F2.8 lens. The train consisted of 62 images all at various focus points and merged into one final photograph using Helicon Focus Stacking Software. I also photographed the railroad crossing and old building at the Middlefield CT train crossing on West St. Using Photoshop CC 2022 I merged the miniature train image into the real life image of the Middlefield train crossing to create this image.
